Dear Barrett Building and Wyoming Arts Council employees,

In an effort to improve our agency's ability to respond to security or law enforcement issues, you will all soon be receiving a small laminated list of phone numbers to attach to or near your telephones.

The four numbers are as follows:

Emergency: Dial 911 in any instance that is life threatening such as an individual brandishing a weapon, a threat of violence on a phone call, an unattended satchel left in the building, or a fire.

Capitol Rotunda Law Enf. Desk: This desk is manned by the state Highway Patrol. Dial this non-emergency number is you have a law enforcement or security question and would like an officer to come here and talk with you, as in, for instance, if you had witnessed suspicious behavior and wanted to bring it to the appropriate party's attention or weren't sure how to respond. (If that suspicious behavior is life-threatening - dial 911!).

WY Highway Patrol Dispatch: Dial this non-emergency number if you have tried the Capitol Rotunda number and there was no response.

Cheyenne Police Department - Dial this non-emergency number if you have not had timely response after trying both the Capitol Rotunda and the Highway Patrol. 

If anything transpires that frightens or alarms you, don't hesitate to call 911 - better safe than sorry!
